Why do obama followers always resort to Obamas personal website to defend issues?

why would anybody go to a website created by someone accused of something because it would be obvious that it is true if they are defending themselves by going through all that time to make a website. Also isn't a blog more credible because a made up website can say whatever and is obviously a defense position by the accused. Personally I think if it is on a person accused website than it is a true allegation on that individual?
