Where is Leonardo in in's Creed 2?

I've just ped the part where you meet your Uncle, he shows you the Villa and all, and I have some scrolls I need decrypted by him, yet he isn't on my map where I originally met him. Am I not suppose to meet him till later? Or am I missing something?
