I only like vodka with tonic, oj or soda water, is that a bad sign?

I tried shots, beer, but I feel vodka gives me a better buzz and I don't feel sick the next day. Is it the soda water I mix with it or the clear liquor. I hear the clear is better to drink than the darker liquor.
